And it rolls...

Just an update. I get antsy when I have don't blog for awhile, even if I'm too busy to write anything meaningful.
Summertime rolls. This week: rainy cabin with friends, Sonic Youth live on the Levee, and writing my art and autism paper.
Also, tomatoes! From MY yard. Truly amazing to me that I am capable of growing something out there.
I love the farmer's market in high summer. It's bumpin'.
And.... we are going to California! Me and kids anyway. Week of my birthday. How freaking fantastic. Can't wait to drink wine with my Bonita and meet my new nephew, George.
By the way, you know you're old when you have to do math to remember how old you're turning. 36, really? I thought I was already 36. You mean I wasted 35 thinking I was 36? Damn.

Citygarden

St. Louis has a brand new sculpture park, just a stone's throw from the Arch. It's rad. I love the fact that kids can climb on anything, there's nothing worse than an alluring giant sculpture begging for you to climb on it that you can't touch.
This would be a perfect place to come on a summer evening... oh, there's a large fountain area to play in, too.

shiny plastic rabbits seemed to be a favorite with kids.

I liked the video crosswalk people.

Maxine made it to the top of this in flip-flops!

Another video instillation.

This one was really cool. You could walk inside the head, and a sheer fountain poured out all around it.

Maxine's favorite sculpture.

I heart public art!
