Baby Crawling Through Sunlight
Something about the late winter sun coming through the window, warming up a room...

Yay, a way to procrastinate.
Becka assigned me ten adjectives that start with F. Either me or another Dawn, but I don't care since its more fun than writing a term paper.
1. fruity
2. fearful
3. fun
4. full
5. fantastic
6. fringed
7. flickering
8. flailing
9. familiar
10. foreign
Are all of those adjectives? Does "ing" officially turn a verb into an adjective? Do kids still diagram sentences in school? 'Kay, back to work.

My kid could draw that.

I came home from class last night to find these portraits of Jason (and Ivan) that Maxine had drawn. I am utterly amazed! She's been doing this here and there lately, drawing from life. She calls it "modeling," ie, "can I model you?" I know every parent thinks their kid is a genius, but I have to say, I think my kid is a genius! Wahoo!

And in related news, my term paper for Educational Psychology is about cognitive development and artistic function in children. I love it when life kind of fits together. My favorite thing in school was always when two subjects I was studying related to each other to draw connections. I feel like my life is doing that now. Brain massage.

I still have nothing new to say
but I'm saying it anyway. It is 9:25. I am nursing a dozing Ivan and drinking weak coffee. I stayed home from playgroup today to get stuff done. Lets see, what was that now? Let me figure out today with a small list.
This morning:
write my part for my group presentation, email the rest of my group
do some reading for school and try to figure out focus for term paper
this afternoon:
observe art teacher at Soulard school: 2:30-2:00
make dinner, 2 - 3:30
pick up Xiney
down time (4-4:30)
dance class 5-6:00 (more reading while she's dancing.)
this evening or morning: look at Girl Scout stuff, set date for parent meeting w/ A
well that's not a bad day. I am coming to the realization that I am in an endurance stretch of life, its all very full right now. I've been writing it off thinking, "school-aged kids are easy," and "I have an easy baby," "I'm only taking 6 credit hours," but you know, it still all adds up to a lot. Yet there's still time to have a Monday afternoon picnic in the park with friends, or watch Netflix with Jason in the evening.
Anyway, Here are some not new pictures of my sweeties:
