Thanksgiving 08

Seven things about it:
1. 15 adults, 12 kids (5 babies) and an heirloom turkey.
2. Entertainment included watching two five month old babies wrestle, I mean, play with each other, while baby-shrieking.
3. Jenny's pecan pie rocks, as does Sonya's spinach casserole.
4. I will always make sweet potatoes with booze from now on. New recipe success.
5. The kids table was self-designated. I always remembered it as something adults set up. This year it was, "hey, you can't sit here, you're not a kid!"
6. When you are breastfeeding, you can eat a giant plate full of food and not feel too full. Bonus!
7. I've said it before and I'll say it again, we are so lucky to have such good friends here. Adam and Linsey hosted a great day with an increadable potluck feast. Not only do our friends rock, but they are all great cooks too.
We are very thankful for all our loved ones, near and far. This means you!

A few family portraits

I like this one of me and my kids.

Homeboys.

It's not as easy to take a self-portrait of a family of four.

A sad, sad day for the favorite yellow wool pants.

Before:

And after:

They found their way into a load of diapers, and are now the world's most lovingly made felt-board accessory.
But - when life hands you felt, make felt crafts. Stay tuned for a fantastic felt Christmas stocking.

The two faces of Halloween...

Cute...

And scary!
